<b>GOLDSBORO, N.C.</b> — A 30-year-old man faces a charge of statutory rape involving a 14-year-old girl, according to Goldsboro police.

Police were called out to a report of a sexual assault in a Goldsboro home Tuesday. The alleged victim was treated at Wayne Memorial Hospital and released.

Andra Edwards, of 805 Rudolph St., was placed in the Wayne County jail under a $500,000 secured bond. His first court appearance was set for Thursday.
