<b>GOLDSBORO, N.C.</b> — Wayne County sheriff's deputies arrested Matthew Gordon Williams on rape charges Thursday.<br />

Little information about the case was released. According to the sheriff's office, Williams, 22, of 4220 Stevens Mill Road in Goldsboro, is a suspect in a sexual assault that took place in the western part of the county. <br />

He is charged with statutory rape in which the victim is between 13 and 15 years old. He was held on $500,000 bond.
