A Goldsboro man was charged with murder Thursday evening for allegedly killing his uncle.

<b>GOLDSBORO, N.C.</b> — A 36-year-old man was charged with murder Thursday evening for allegedly killing his uncle.

Taurus Ryshaun Davis, of 902 Newsome St., was arrested Thursday morning for assaulting Robert Lee Davis. The 62-year-old man was found Wednesday night slumped over in a chair, unresponsive with head injuries from an unknown blunt object, police said. 

Davis was transported to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville where he died from his injuries Thursday afternoon, police said.

Davis remained in the Wayne County jail with no bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 27.

Goldsboro man charged with killing his uncle
