Goldsboro man charged in September shooting

Police on Monday arrested a Goldsboro man in connection with a shooting three months ago.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Police on Monday arrested a Goldsboro man in connection with a shooting three months ago.

Lemel Shamont Jones, 24, of 519 Stronach Ave., was charged with attempted first-degree murder. He was being held in the Wayne County jail under a $500,000 bond.

Demetrice Joel Holloman was shot at the Fairview Housing Community in Goldsboro on Sept. 19 and had to be airlifted to Vidant Medical Center in Greenville for treatment.
