Goldsboro man charged in fatal Wilson wreck
A 20-year-old Goldsboro man faces driving while impaired, manslaughter and drug charges in a Wilson wreck that killed one woman and injured two others.

Police say Sameer Patel, 20, ran through a stop sign at the intersection of Hines and Manchester streets and hit a Toyota truck around 5 p.m. Friday. The driver of the Toyota truck, 48-year-old Samantha Colvin of Wilson, died from injuries sustained in the crash.
Her mother, 67-year-old Martha Hinnant, was airlifted to Vidant Medical Center with serious injuries. Colvin's daughter, 21-year-old Maryse Colvin, was treated and released from Wilson Memorial Hospital.
Patel was being held Sunday in the Wilson County jail under a $25,000 secured bond.
