RALEIGH, N.C. — Go Ape, the ropes course and zip line park in north Raleigh, will begin offering sessions for the summer on July 4 with new safety measures in place.

The outdoor park, which is located at Blue Jay Point County Park, will be open only on the weekends with smaller nine-person session sizes.

"Go Ape has always prioritized customer safety and is taking a similarly vigilant approach to COVID-19, with significant changes to our cleaning and operating procedures," according to the announcement.

Other changes include spacing guests at least six feet apart, requiring guests from different groups to maintain at least one crossing distance from others and requiring guests to wear a face covering during check-in, briefing and at any time social distancing cannot be maintained.

Guests also will be required to wear full finger gloves, which, like masks, can be brought from home or purchased at Go Ape.

Both the Raleigh location's treetop adventure for ages 10 and up and treetop journey for all ages will be open.

Tickets start at $29.95 for the treetop journey and go up to $39.95 or $49.95 for the treetop adventure, depending on the age.

More information is on Go Ape's website.

The park on Norwood Road features 70 obstacles and zip lines across seven different courses. Tickets start at $20 for a junior park ticket for younger kids and go up to $42 for the aerial forest ticket.
