Give Your Seltzer a Refresh

This summer I have seen a proliferation of seasoning syrups for drinks, in fruit and floral flavors. Some new nonalcoholic ones that tickled my taste buds are from W&P. Called Spritz Syrups, they are for a glass of bubbly, a carbonated cocktail or a mocktail. They come in elderflower, fragrant with an intriguing note of bitterness; grapefruit, properly citric and mellowed with honey; and Italian, for that Negroni variation, scented with orange, lemon and spices. Instructions suggest using half an ounce (a tablespoon) in a drink.
