Girl abducted, assaulted in Fayetteville

Fayetteville detectives are investigating after a juvenile said she was abducted and assaulted while walking in her neighborhood on Sunday.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville detectives are investigating after a girl said she was abducted and assaulted while walking in her neighborhood on Sunday.

Around 4:45 p.m., deputies were called for an urgent well-being check near Waldos Beach Road.

When deputies arrived, the girl said she had been abducted, tied up and assaulted.

Deputies said she was not able to go into any other detail about the incident.

She was taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital for treatment.
