Summer dream job: Get paid for an outdoor adventure in your home state

RALEIGH, N.C. — Imagine getting paid to bask in the beautiful sights of nature. North Carolina feels like a good state for this, right?

WhistleOut.com is looking to hire someone to be its Chief Adventure Officer (CAO) this summer. It's the dream job for any outdoorsman (or outdoorswoman).

All the person has to do is check out a scenic setting in their home state and take some pictures of their exploration.

What is WhistleOut.com looking for in the position?

The CAO will be responsible for planning a trip to a cool outdoor site such as a national park, mountain range or sandy beach within their state. They'll be expected to take photos using the phone and share them on social media.

In exchange, the CAO will receive:

  • a new smartphone to take photos
  • $1,000 in cash
  • $500 reimbursement for expenses like travel, food, park fees, and outdoor gear needed
