RALEIGH, N.C. — A gas leak was reported Monday in Raleigh.

According to Raleigh police, the leak happened on Six Forks Road.

The leak, according to Dominion Energy, started after a third-party contractor hit the gas line while attempting to install a fiber optic cable.

The road between Westbrook Drive and Newton Road is open again.

Dominion Energy said no evacuations or injuries were reported, but repair could take "a while."
