FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — There was heavy police presence at a Fayetteville church on Sunday when officials responded to a reported gas leak.

Before 11 a.m., multiple people reported the smell of natural gas at A.L.I.V. Ministries, located at 851 Bragg Boulevard.

According to a post on the church Facebook page, the church's Sunday afternoon services have been canceled due to the leak. Officials did not say if people were in church at the time the gas leak was first reported.

The church, founded in 1998, is located in a strip mall at Fayetteville's Empire Plaza.
