GARNER, N.C. — Garner police are asking for the public’s help in finding a driver involved in a hit-and-run crash Tuesday that left one person with serious injuries.

Police said a Toyota pickup truck collided with a moped just before 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of N.C. Highway 50 and Umstead Lane. The moped driver was taken to WakeMed.

Investigators think the truck is newer, white and has blue lettering on the door. It’s missing the passenger-side mirror and antenna. The truck was last seen heading west on U.S. Highway 70 from N.C. 50.

Anyone with information is asked to call Garner police at 919-772-8810.
