If you're on the fence about taking your kids camping, Lake Benson Park in Garner will host an opportunity this spring to ease into it.

On June 1, the town will open the park up for camping. Families must bring their tents and camping gear to spend the night at the park.

Before you fall asleep under the stars, the town will offer a free screening of "The Muppets."

Family camping begins at 6 p.m., June 1, and ends at 8 a.m., June 2. The cost is $10 per family for Garner residents and $13 per family for non-Garner residents. Space is limited and registration is required to camp. Click here for details.
The movie will begin around 8 p.m. If you want to just watch the movie, you won't need to reserve a spot. You can just show up. Click here for details. Be sure to bring your chairs and blankets.
