Garner man held on $5M bond on child rape charges

Ezequiel Andrade Estrada, 22, of 3306 Countisbury Court, was arrested on Wednesday. He is charged with five counts of first-degree rape of a child for incidents dating as far back as Jan. 22.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Garner man was being held under a $5 million bond in the Wake County jail on Thursday on multiple charges of raping a child under the age of 13.

Ezequiel Andrade Estrada, 22, of 3306 Countisbury Court, was arrested on Wednesday. He is charged with five counts of first-degree rape of a child for incidents dating as far back as Jan. 22. 

It is unclear how Estrada and the child knew one another. 

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is investigating Estrada's citizenship status to determine if he will be deported back to Mexico, his home country.
