Garner grocery store robbed

Garner, N.C. — Garner police asked for the public's help to solve the robbery of a grocery store early Thursday.
Police said that a man displayed a weapon and demanded money from employees at Lowe's Food, 1845 Aversboro Road, around 5:40 a.m. He got an undisclosed amount of money and left the store on foot.
No one was injured.
The suspect is described as a heavy-set white man. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
