Game Day: Georgia takes on Alabama for College Football Playoff championship
We're just hours away from the opening kickoff as the Georgia Bulldogs and Alabama Crimson Tide get ready to square off in Monday night's College Football Playoff championship game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
Posted — UpdatedThe Bulldogs enter the match-up at 13-1, winner of the SEC championship. Georgia's lone loss came to Auburn on November 11, a week before the Tigers would knock off Alabama in the Iron Bowl. The Crimson Tide are 12-1 on the season, with that lone loss to Auburn on November 25.
The Dawgs knocked off Oklahoma 54-48 in overtime in the Rose Bowl to clinch a spot in the title game as they play for their first National Championship since 1980. The Tide smashed Clemson 24-6 in the Sugar Bowl to earn the right to face the Bulldogs.
