Fuquay-Varina police investigating armed robbery at store

Police said the robbery happened at The Breeze Thru at 1921 Bass Lake Rd. They responded to a call of an armed robbery at 7:57 p.m.

Officials said the suspect is described at between age 25-30, 5-foot-8 and possibly wearing a wig or some sort of fake hair. He was medium build and was wearing blue clothing and gloves as he entered the store. He told a clerk he had a weapon and demanded money from the store employee. The suspect left the scene in a vehicle described as a gray sedan with an unknown driver.
