Fuquay-Varina house fire called suspicious
Firefighters said a blaze they fought at a Fuquay-Varina house early Friday looks like it was of suspicious origin.

FUQUAY-VARINA, N.C. — Firefighters said a blaze they fought at a Fuquay-Varina house early Friday looks like it was of suspicious origin.
The fire started at a house on Walter Myatt Road, near Kennebec Road, shortly before 2:30 a.m. Flames burned the house to the ground, leaving only a brick chimney and charred wood standing.
Investigators planned to search for evidence of the cause of the fire later Friday.
