Full Frame Documentary Film Festival announces 2014 award winners

DURHAM, N.C. — – The 17th annual Full Frame Documentary Film Festival wrapped up in Durham , and out of the nearly 100 documentaries shown, there were some big crowd pleasers.

"Evolution," directed by Darius Clark Monroe won the festival's Reva and David Logan Grand Jury Award.

"The Hand That Feeds," directed by Rachel Lears and Robin Blotnick, won the Full Frame Audience Award for Feature.

Other winners included "White Earth," directed by J. Christian Jensen, who won the Full Frame Jury Award for Best Short.

The Overnighters, directed by Jesse Moss, won the Full Frame Inspiration Award, and the film "Santa Cruz Del Islote," directed by Luke Lorentzen won Full Frame's President's Award.
