Fuel spill from wreck delays Capital Boulevard traffic
A multi-car wreck in Wake Forest near the Caveness Farms subdivision Wednesday caused back-ups for several miles in both directions during rush hour.
Posted — UpdatedWAKE FOREST, N.C. — A multi-car wreck on Capital Boulevard in Wake Forest near the Caveness Farms subdivision on Wednesday evening caused back-ups for several miles in both directions.
One northbound lane was reopened around 7:30 p.m., but a town spokesman said it could be several hours before both lanes were accessible.
Officials said a truck's fuel tank that was ruptured in the wreck was leaking in the roadway.
The entrance to Caveness Farms Avenue is also closed.
Traffic is heavily delayed and motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.
