MORRISVILLE, N.C. — Frontier Airlines announced Monday that it will begin service between Raleigh-Durham International Airport and Trenton, N.J., beginning April 8.

The daily nonstop service, except for Saturday, will connect RDU passengers to central New Jersey and Princeton University, while also serving as an alternative to flights to Philadelphia and Newark, N.J., airport officials said.

The service will mark Frontier’s re-entry into the Triangle market. The airline offered service to Milwaukee from 2009 to June 2011.
