How were you affected?
My heart sank and I could not help but cry. I grabbed a pen and began to write as the plane flew across the screen of the tv set. I saw Lady Liberty standing there watching as all this unfolded in front of her. I could see the tears running down her face and feel them in mine. I started to write... Forever...in God's Hands
"FOREVER FREEDOM"
With Love From Liberty…
She stands so tall and Proud
Looking out to Sea.
Shining her great light
for everyone to see.
Welcoming all to the
land of the free.
This past September Day She saw
the planes fly across her brow heading
for the skyline Just across the bay.
She heard the explosions,
she saw the smoke and fire.
She saw the twin towers falling
out of the corner of her eye.
She stood there and cried with
big tears running down her face,
knowing that many must have died
in that sad awful place.
She never knew them but
she loved them all true.
Most were Americans, they died because
they Loved the Land of the Free
She knew in her Heart that Brothers
and Sisters, Husbands and Wives,
Even Little Children surely lost their lives.
She prayed all that day and into
the night for God to bless all the
families, and she prayed they
would be all right.
She thought of nothing but Freedom
with all her Might, she knew the people
would never give up that fight.
Our Flag continues to fly by day
and by night, For all those who died
to give us that right.
All those Brave Hero's died in Vain,
Pray God they never suffered any pain.
It took a dirty Coward to do what was done.
Hopefully they will be brought to Justice, one day when this war is won.
Thousands of our people went to Heaven that day, thousands of Angels came and took them on their way.
They carried them all to Heaven to be with God forever more to stay.
These people had a Special Mission to make us all see, the Bells of Liberty Ringing throughout the Land of the Free.
That our Country is Stronger than ever before, to make everyone as Free as You and Me!

How has your life changed in the 10 years since the 9/11 attacks?
I have been volunttering for over 40 years now. I have take Bananas to the elderly in Rest Homes in Garner, I deliver them in my Hoveround Electric Chair. But since 9/11 I added lots of American Flags to my Hoveround, as well as a Support our Troops sign on the back of my chair.
