All National Park Service sites that normally charge an entrance fee will offer free admission on the following dates in 2018!

January 15: Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.

April 21: First day of National Park Week

September 22: National Public Lands Day

In North Carolina, the only National Park that charges a fee is the Wright Brothers National Memorial. You can see more information on the Wright Brothers Memorial on their website.

If you are planning to attend this memorial, keep in mind that until late summer/fall of 2018, the Wright Brothers National Memorial Visitor Center will be closed for a renovation project. You can still walk the grounds, visit a small temporary Visitor Center and listen to information sessions under a tent but the main Visitor Center is closed.
