Free fitness class for moms offered at Go Ask Mom's Saturday event
A visit from Rapunzel, crafts, free child IDs and a free workout just for mom are on the schedule for our event at the Midtown Farmers' Market at North Hills on Saturday.
Posted — UpdatedThe free class will be 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. It's a preview of the eight-week health and fitness program that's designed for moms of all fitness levels and begins Sept. 15. One caveat: This is not for pregnant women or new moms who have yet to clear their six-week postpartum check-up as the workout is higher intensity.
Here's how it's described: "Body Back is a results-focused workout and nutrition program designed specifically for moms (of any age). It includes high intensity, interval workouts along with before and after fitness assessments, nutritional guidance, motivational coaching and support, resulting in weight loss, increased strength and energy."
Missy Currin, the mom behind Fit4Mom of Midtown Raleigh, is excited to offer this class. I might just try to join in on Saturday!
Go Ask Mom will be at the farmers' market from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, with all sorts of activities. The Body Back class is designed for just mom ... so bring your friends for a fun, active hour and have dads, grandmas, aunts, uncles hang with the kids to enjoy the other activities we'll have.
Here's a line-up for our morning. Find it on the commons area next to Starbucks and Ben & Jerry's and across from the movie theater.
