McDonald's has a super promotion starting December 14 including a FREE food item every day through Dec. 23 in the App with a $1 minimum purchase! On Dec. 24, the freebie does not require a minimum purchase.

The freebie for Thursday, 12/24 is a free 2 pack or 3 pack of Chocolate Chip cookies (no min. purchase required)!

The offer features the favorite foods of classic holiday characters including a free McFlurry in honor of Frosty the Snowman, Hotcakes for Buddy the Elf and more!

The promotion takes place from Dec.14 through Dec. 24, and according to a statement from the company. "each day, McDonald’s will feature a different character and give away the menu item they crave, exclusively through the App with a $1 minimum purchase. The daily deals will conclude on Dec. 24 with a certain jolly someone’s most treasured treat, free soft-baked Chocolate Chip Cookies (glass of milk not included)."

The freebies are available at participating restaurants nationwide.

“After a year like 2020, I think we could all use some extra cheer this season,” said McDonald’s U.S. Chief Marketing Officer, Morgan Flatley. “What better way to celebrate and get into the holiday spirit than with free McDonald’s menu favorites for everyone including Rudolph, the Abominable Snow Monster and yes, even Scrooge.”

All offers (other than the free Chocolate Chip Cookies on 12/24), require a minimum $1 purchase in the App and will be activated through Mobile Order and Pay.

In addition, through December 20th, McDonald’s customers can ‘round up’ the cost of their order to the nearest whole dollar, or donate $1,$3 or $5 for the Ronald McDonald House of Durham & Wake.
