Franklin County man charged with soliciting child for sex
An Franklin County man was charged with soliciting a child for sex acts on Monday, authorities said.

The Alamance County Sheriff’s Office said Randall Keith Epperson, 65, of Kernersville, contacted an undercover officer and solicited sex acts with a minor.
Epperson and the undercover officer, posing as a human trafficker, met at a Kernersville restaurant and further discussed the sex acts.
Epperson was charged with soliciting a child and spreading obscenity.
He was held in the Alamance County jail under $40,000 bond.
The Kernersville Police Department and Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
