TRENTON, N.J. — Frank Sinatra, Jon Bon Jovi, Whitney Houston and Celia Cruz are each getting an unusual honor: they will have rest stops named after them on the Garden State Parkway in New Jersey.

The New Jersey Turnpike Authority approved the move this week. Each stop will have exhibits highlighting the artists’ careers.

Others who will have rest stops named for them include actor James Gandolfini, journalist Connie Chung and authors Toni Morrison and Judy Blume.
