Durham, N.C. — A fox found inside a Durham home tested positive for rabies Friday.
Authorities say the fox was displaying physical aggression toward a man in the 600 block of Pleasant Drive. The man placed a trash bin over the fox until deputies arrived.
The fox died shortly after responders arrived at the scene and was taken to a lab, where it tested positive for rabies.
The man is receiving post-rabies exposure treatment as a precaution.
No additional exposures were reported.
