CLAYTON, N.C. — An eight-vehicle crash shut down U.S. Highway 70 Business westbound in Clayton on Wednesday afternoon.
The crash, which involved seven cars and a dump truck, happened at the intersection of Guy Road and U.S. Highway 70 Business.
State Highway Patrol troopers said the driver of the dump truck didn't brake and caused a domino effect.
The other cars were stopped at a red light, before the crash.
Troopers said four people were taken to a local hospital, but were expected to be OK.
