One killed, three injured in shooting near Raleigh Star Bar

Four men were shot on the 1700 block of Trawick Road near the Star Bar at around 2 a.m. on Sunday night.

RALEIGH, N.C. — One person has died after four men were shot in the 1700 block of Trawick Road near the Star Bar in Raleigh on Sunday.

Justin Jones, 25, was taken to WakeMed hospital by EMS around 2 a.m. He later died as a result of his injuries. The three other men injured in the incident were taken to the hospital in private cars.

Julius McKinney and Jeffrey Lynch were both charged with assault with a dangerous weapon inflicting serious injury.

The Star Bar parking lot was closed with crime scene tape on Sunday morning. Several evidence markers were placed a little further away as police investigated the shooting.

A Speedway gas station on 1700 Trawick Road was also included in the police investigation.

The shooting remains under investigation.
