HENDERSON, N.C. — Five people have been charged in connection with the death of a Henderson man who has been missing for the past month.

Chelsea Joanne Collier, Daniel Blake Grissom, Jessica Lauren Lewis and Chase M. Wiesner were each indicted on charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the death of Marcus Lamont Fields. Shannon Tingen Collier was indicted on a charge of accessory after the fact of murder in the case.

Fields, 36, was the subject of a Silver Alert issued Jan. 11, but the indictments allege he was killed on Dec. 29.

Authorities haven't said whether his body has been found or, if not, what evidence leads them to believe is dead and that the four people charged are responsible for the crime.

The investigation is ongoing, and more arrests are expected, authorities said.
