Four arrested, including repeat offender, on drug charges in Lumberton

Four people have been arrested on drug charges in Lumberton, including a multiple offender who had drugs in the residence with children.

LUMBERTON, N.C. — Four people have been arrested on drug charges in Lumberton, including a multiple offender who had drugs in the residence with children.

Dandre Johnson was charged with felony possession of cocaine; possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine; maintaining a drug dwelling; possession of drug paraphernalia; simple possession of marijuana; possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school and two counts of child abuse for having drugs in the residence with the children.

Johnson received a $500,000 secured bond.

Also arrested were Jaheam Stephens of Orrum, Brandon Keith Lawson and Oylissa Hinson, both of Lumberton. Stephens was charged with felony possession of cocaine and simple possession of marijuana. Stephens had a $50,000 secured bond. Lawson was charged with felony possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia and received a $25,000 secured bond. Hinston was charged with two counts of child abuse and received a $5,000 secured bond.

A search warrant was executed by the Lumberton Drug Unit at 734 E. 11th St., on June 20 after citizens complained of drug activity. A search turned up cocaine, marijuana, firearms and an undetermined amount of money.

A similar search warrant was carried out in February. Johnson was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, maintaining a drug dwelling, manufacturing, sell and deliver cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession of marijuana.
