FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — A Fort Bragg soldier was stabbed four times and robbed early Thursday at a local apartment complex, police said.

Randall Liska, 25, was stabbed twice in the back and once each in the neck and leg, police said. He was being treated at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

Liska befriended two men at the Secrets nightclub on Bragg Boulevard late Wednesday, and the three planned to meet later at an apartment in the Tamarack on the Lake complex off Rosehill Road, police said.

Liska was stabbed at the apartment at about 4:30 a.m., and his wallet and car keys were stolen, police said.

He knocked on at least two doors for help before someone called 911, police said.

Police have a vague description of the two assailants, but no arrests had been made by noon Thursday.

Liska is a member of the 82nd Airborne Division, but information regarding his rank and unit hadn't been released as of noon Thursday.
