Fort Bragg soldier killed in Afghanistan

A 20-year-old soldier stationed at Fort Bragg was killed Thursday in Afghanistan, the Defense Department said Saturday.

FORT BRAGG, N.C. — A 20-year-old soldier stationed at Fort Bragg was killed Thursday in Afghanistan, the Defense Department said Saturday. 

Pfc. Brandon D. Goodine, of Luthersville, Ga., was fatally wounded when enemy forces attacked his unit with an improvised explosive device. 

He was assigned to the 4th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division.
