FORT BRAGG, N.C. — A Fort Bragg paratrooper is in hot water for a video he released on TIkTok.

The video shows him floating from the sky and sipping cranberry juice to the tune of Fleetwood Mac's song Dreams.

The stunt was a duplication of one that brought fame earlier this month to an Idaho man, which has grown into a TikTok trend.

Officials said the soldier is a member of Fort Bragg's 18th Airborne Corps, which includes the 82nd Airborne Division. However, that is all the information military leaders are providing at the moment.

Meanwhile, the video joined a host of others celebrating the old song that's gotten new life.

The unidentified soldier seems to have been inspired by a 37-year-old man in Idaho named Nathan Apodaca, who posted his TikTok video after his truck broke down and he needed to get to work. He jumped on his skateboard, sipped cranberry juice and lip-synced the 1977 Fleetwood Mac hit.

Since then the stunt has been duplicated countless times.

Fleetwood Mac drummer Mick Fleetwood said the song had a 374% bump in sales since Apodaca's video went viral.

Ocean Spray CEO Tom Hayes also got in on the act. So did Doctor Phil and Colombian singer, Shakira.

Military leaders at Fort Bragg released a statement: "We’re looking into the matter to try to see what unit he may belong to, and whether the unit has a specific safety policy that was violated.”

Meanwhile, it looks like the paratrooper is enjoying his 12 seconds of fame.
