A former Wake County emergency medical technician who was the focus of a WRAL News investigation into painkillers being stolen from ambulances now faces charges of breaking into another ambulance.
EMS staff were monitoring security cameras at the Eastern Wake EMS administrative building late Tuesday when they spotted someone inside.

Jason Dean was still in the building when police arrived, authorities said. He ran but was arrested about a block away, they said.
Dean is charged with two counts of breaking and entering, one for the building and one for an ambulance on the property.
He is on probation for stealing drugs last year while employed at Eastern Wake EMS, a Wendell-based nonprofit that contracts with Wake County EMS to provide services in the eastern part of the county.
WRAL Investigates reported last week about Dean's original arrest after dozens of tampered fentanyl and morphine vials were found on several ambulances.
During the internal investigation, Dean was caught on surveillance camera entering several EMS facilities, although he was charged only with misdemeanors.
Wake EMS officials said Wednesday that there's no evidence Dean obtained any more drugs.
