Concord police arrested Roger Dale Benton, 50, and charged him with first-degree sexual offense.

<b>CLAYTON, N.C.</b> — Police on Monday charged a former Clayton man with molesting a 3-year-old girl.

Concord police arrested Roger Dale Benton, 50, and charged him with first-degree sexual offense. He was being held in the Cabarrus County Jail under a $20,000 bond.

Benton is accused of molesting the girl in early February, and Clayton police has been searching for him since then.

Clayton police also charged his wife, Sarah Furr Benton, 49, with being accessory after the fact. She was arrested in Concord and was being held in jail there under a $20,000 bond.
