Food trucks help with holiday celebrations

From Knightdale to Hillsborough to downtown Raleigh, food trucks will roll out to serve at holiday events.

Deep River hosting Toys For Tots event

On Friday through Sunday, Deep River Brewing Company is hosting an event to collect unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. Be sure to stop by Friday for Barone Meatball food truck and live music from Mysti Mayhem. On Saturday, food truck Mac-Ur-Roni will be there with live music from Cody Braxton. Christmas on Salem Street

Apex lights up their Christmas tree on Friday night. Also with the event, they will have carriage rides, visits from Santa and a Kiddy Christmas Train Ride. Food truck My Cup Overflows will be serving by the fire station. For more details, see Apex’s website.

Garner’s Light Up Main

On Friday evening, Garner will light their Christmas tree. Activities surrounding their tree lighting are local entertainment, craft sales and a snow mound. Food trucks All American and D’Burritos will be there.

Knightdale Tree Lighting and Christmas Parade
On Friday, Knightdale will light their Christmas tree located at Knightdale Station Park. There will be activities, performances, visits from Santa and others from the North Pole and food trucks Baguettaboutit, Brachi – Le Petit Roll, C&J Funnel Cakes and Stuft.
On Saturday, the town’s Christmas parade marches through downtown beginning at 2 p.m. The parade begins at Knightdale Elementary and ends at Knightdale Station Park. In addition to the parade, 101 Catering, Baozi, C&J Funnel Cakes, Cousins Maine Lobster and King’s Authentic Philly Cheesesteaks will be serving at Main Street and First Avenue and in the parking lot of Northside Community Church.
On Dec. 13, celebrate the holidays in Knightdale with Rudolph’s Holiday Rodeo, a food truck rodeo organized by RDU Mobile Food Association benefiting Meals on Wheels of Wake County.
Downtown Raleigh Tree Lighting

This Saturday from 3 to 10 p.m., downtown Raleigh will celebrate their Christmas tree lighting. In addition to the tree lighting there will be performances, the ice rink will be open, rides and activities and a Gingerbread House contest. Food trucks D’Burritos, Oak City Fish and Chips, Only Burger, Pho Nomenal Dumpling Truck and Wandering Moose will all be there, too.

Light Up The Night Parade

Hillsborough is having a Christmas holiday parade on Saturday. The event will have lots of local participants and food trucks CJ’s Street Food, Dusty Donuts, Mixed Korean and Pie Pushers.

Crude Bitters celebrates 1st Anniversary

On Saturday, Crude Bitters celebrates their first year opening of their ABV store in Downtown Raleigh. Throughout the party, different local vendors will be involved mixing Crude Bitters’ bitters and shrubs. OMG Chicken and Qspresso will be there during the day.
