Food trucks gear up for beerfest, brewery birthday

Raleigh, N.C. — A look at where you can find food trucks and events for foodies this week.
Chatham Street Chowdown
On Sunday, downtown Cary’s Chatham Street will host a food truck rodeo starting at 5 p.m. There will be more than 25 trucks, vendors, live music and beer.
Cardinal Directions Beerfest
On Saturday, catch some of your favorite food trucks at Steel String Brewery in Carrboro. Cardinal Directions Beerfest will feature more than 20 North Carolina breweries. There will also be live music. It's $20 for a commemorative glass and five sample pours.
Neuse River birthday party
Neuse River Brewing celebrates one year in business this weekend. On Sunday, there will be food trucks, live music and entertainment. Crude Bitters will also be on hand to help create some craft beer cocktails.
House of Swank garage sale
If you are looking to get rid of a few things, join House of Swank in their first Community Garage Sale on Saturday. Percentage of House of Swank sales will go to the Interfaith Food Shuttle. Baozi food truck will be at the sale serving lunch.
New Food Truck Profile
Just got word that Spanglish is hitting the road as their food truck has a permit. Their menu will highlight Puerto Rican cuisine with some items adding a little fusion.
