The new Food Lion in Wake Forest is opening on Wednesday, January 31 and they will be giving away free tote bags and mystery gift cards valued between $5 and $200 to the first 100 people in line!

The new store is located at 161 Crenshaw Corners Drive, in Wake Forest, N.C.
The grand opening ribbon cutting ceremoney takes place at 7:45 am and the store opens at 8 am. If you are one of the first 100 people in line, you'll receive a free tote bag and a gift card valued between $5 and $200! If you go to the opening, let us know how much your gift card was worth.
Food Lion will also be donating the equivalent of 20,000 meals to the food pantry at nearby Richland Creek Community Church in Wake Forest, N.C at the ribbon cutting.
This Food Lion store will have a new walk-in garden cooler in the store's produce section, expanded offerings in the deli department, more organic produce and an in-store Artisan pizza bar. The store will also have an expanded floral area, and deli sections featuring a selection of grab and go meals, a wing and soup bar and other new items.
"Food Lion has been a proud member of the Wake Forest community for nearly 30 years and we look forward to creating an easier shopping experience for our customers," said Mike Hall, Food Lion's director of operations for the greater Wake Forest, N.C., area. "We look forward to bringing an expanded assortment of quality, fresh products to our customers, while keeping the low prices they expect from Food Lion. We look forward to welcoming the community into our new store."
