The N.C. Museum of Art is gearing up for its fourth annual Art in Bloom fundraiser and event.

To promote the event, which runs March 22 to March 25, the museum has launched a how-to video series on its Facebook page where local floral designers share their tips for making centerpieces. I'm probably not the only one who can turn a beautiful bouquet of flowers into a mixed-up mess in a vase, so I thought I'd share links to a couple of videos here.

With the spring flowers blooming, there will be plenty of opportunities to create a bouquet of your own!

Art in Bloom will feature more than 50 florists from around the country. Florists are randomly assigned a work of art in the museum's permanent collection and tasked with building a floral display inspired by the art, according to a press release.

During the four days of Art in Bloom, tickets are required for admission to the permanent collection in the Museum’s West Building. East Building and the Museum Park will remain open and free to visitors. Tickets are $18. It's free for kids 6 and under.

As part of Art in Bloom, the museum will offer a flower-themed scavenger hunt from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., March 24 and March 25. The drop-in event lets visitors, who have purchased tickets, follow clues on a scavenger hunt card to find flowers and "artful" treasures in the galleries.

Tickets are on sale now on the museum's website.
