AND THEN WE JUST MOVED INTO OUR PHYSICAL LOCATION OCTOBER 2nd. &gt;&gt; THAT IS SO INTERESTING, WE KNOW AT THE BEGINNING OF THE PANDEMIC, SO MANY WEDDINGS GOT CANCELED. DID IMPACT YOUR BUSINESS AT ALL OR WERE YOU ABLE TO MAKE THAT SHIFT? &gt;&gt; A LITTLE BIT. WE DID HAVE QUITE A FEW WEDDINGS THAT WERE CANCELED, UNFORTUNATELY BUT WE STARTED DOING MORE POP UP EVENTS, WE WOULD DO POP-UPS, FARMERS MARKETS, WE WOULD DO PLACES WHERE WE COULD BE A LOCAL VENDOR, STUFF LIKE THAT, TO KIND OF MAKE UP FOR IT. I WAS ALSO IN GRAD SCHOOL DURING THE TIME, SO I WASN'T DOING IT COMPLETELY FULL TIME JUST YET, SO I HAD SCHOOL WORK I WAS ALSO DOING SO I WASN'T TOO FOCUSED COMPLETELY. &gt;&gt; HOW DID THEY DISCOVER YOU FOR THE EPISODE? &gt;&gt; LET'S SEE, MAYBE A MONTH OR SO BEFORE THAT, I DID A NAMING CEREMONY FOR A JUDGE IN DURHAM AT THE NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL LAW SCHOOL, AND HIS DAUGHTER JUST SO HAPPENED TO BE A PART OF THE SHOW, WORKED WITH THE DIRECTORS AND STUFF LIKE THAT, SO I THINK IT WAS MAYBE THE TUESDAY. I THINK IT WAS THE TUESDAY BEFORE, THE TUESDAY BEFORE I HAD GOTTEN A CALL AND IT WAS THAT NIGHT AROUND 7:00. SHE WAS LIKE HEY, TIERRA, THIS IS PORTIA. This store is so much more than a store, There's parties classes and these flowers are actually really chic and smell divine. Daisy is very excited. I think she's hoping that there's gonna be some daisies in here. It's not really the season for him. So let's go. T. G. Floral is an immersive floral experience in the more square district, complete with stunning flowers for every day and special occasions, a welcoming atmosphere in goodies from other local artisans and I may or may not have tried to take a candle with me for the road as quote unquote research. So what makes CG floral different than your run of the mill flower shop, Their private events in floral workshops, complete with bubbly and live music, create a community and way to connect with others and yourself were really big on just like creating like a very immersive atmosphere, a place where people can come, you know, sit down, have some refreshments, put flowers together in a more meditative nature. I'm kind of taking the the fast movement out of it and just kind of like taking a step back and just like really like getting involved in that kind of thing. I have a teaching background. So I was teaching prior to um I think seeing people like actually learning taking an interest in what we're doing. Um and just like really just kind of like getting kind in the down and dirty. What are some tips you have for making bouquets either here or home because I never know what to put together. Okay I always tell people to start with the foundation, thicker stems, use a lot of greens um You know really build it up and create a shape and a structure that you would like to house your flowers into and then just kind of go from there and definitely always working levels. For several days, Tony Chandler of Wild Child Flowers and Gardens has been setting up shop on the sidewalk. It's a little bit crazy, but they're all from my garden or from long for garden Done. Typically, she'd be picking the peonies and designing bouquets for dozens of weddings. But now, because of Kuvin, there slim pickings when it comes to wedding.
