Florida artist sets out to spread love across the country
A Florida artist set out on a mission to spread love across America during what's been a challenging 2020.
a simple message popping up all around the country. It kind of just can't came to be. I got the idea for spread love, the message and the words and everything just came to me and it stuck. Brandon Thrift says he was bartending in March when the pandemic struck. I'm a drummer, so I had a bunch of gigs lined up and music died and the restaurant industry just died. So is the necessity to create. He thought a little love could go a long way. It felt like the right thing to do. So really just get going. It took him on a solo three week road trip out West, and wherever thrift went, he left a little piece of him. The reception has just been unbelievable, like people are messaging me on Instagram from California from New Mexico, sending me these photos, finding those pieces, and they're just It's really cool to connect with people like that, organically putting smiles on faces across 12 states. For every piece he left, he made a new one not a lot of, but it was really, really, really cool. Thrift hopes people can absorb his message and spread love wherever they can, especially during such a challenging year. This is definitely a never ending journey. It's gonna continue, and it's only gonna get bigger because people want to help out. People are doing their own thing as a part of this, you know, and all ties in together. It's a never ending mission, and it'll go on for a long time.
