Authorities were investigating a fire that broke out early Friday at a north Raleigh townhome, the second blaze at the residence in less than a week.

No injuries were reported when flames broke out shortly after midnight at the townhome located in the 2600 block of Hamlet Green Drive. The three people who live at the home were not present during the overnight blaze because they had left the residence when a fire was reported there Sunday.

When firefighters arrived at the house, they found flames shooting from the roof and the rear of the building, authorities said.

The townhome is in a unit that houses three other residences, but they apparently were not damage during the fire.

Authorities said electricity to the unit had been turned off after fire was reported at the home on Sunday.

The cause of the blaze on Sunday and Friday was under investigation.
