Five suspects charged in Walnut Creek Amphitheater robbery

Five additional suspects were charged Tuesday in connection with the July 13 robbery at Walnut Creek Amphitheater.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Five additional suspects were charged Tuesday in connection with the July 13 robbery at Walnut Creek Amphitheater.

Javeal Aaron Baker, 17, was charged with six counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, five counts of second degree kidnapping, and one count of conspiracy to commit a robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Jamell Cha Melvin, 33, was charged with six counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, five counts of second degree kidnapping, and one count of conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon. According to police, Melvin also faces drug charges.

For both men, one of the six counts of robbery relates to the robbery of the business and five counts relate to the robbery of employees. Adani Jari Bryant was previously arrested on July 13 on the same charges related to the robbery.

Kianna Lynn Baker, 33, was charged with accessory after the fact to robbery with a dangerous weapon. She also faces drug charges.

Lorenzo Demarcus McNeill, 20, was charged with accessory after the fact to robbery with a dangerous weapon. He faces additional weapons and drug charges.

Shymale Malik Robertson, 18, was charged with possession of stolen property.

All five suspects are scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

In addition to the arrests, detectives have recovered additional currency believed to be connected to the robbery.

Investigators previously charged 22-year-old Adjani Jari Bryant, of 3023 Richward Place in Raleigh. He is charged with six counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, five counts of second degree-kidnapping and conspiracy to robbery with a dangerous weapon.

According to police, three armed suspects entered the office on July 13 and robbed employees of cash, wallets and cellphones before fleeing on foot.
