CEDAR GROVE, N.C. — A Cary mother, her two children and a Virginia couple were injured in a wreck on Efland-Cedar Grove Road in Orange County Saturday morning, state troopers said.

A Honda CRV, driven by Juli Boeyink, 44, crossed the center line and struck a Buick, carrying Carl and Mona Brotherton, 76 and 70, of Danville, Va., between MacDade and Allison roads in Cedar Grove.

Troopers said that Boeyink had turned around to check on her children when the wreck took place. Charges are not expected, but the investigation is ongoing, authorities said.

Boeyink, her 9-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son, whose names were not released, were airlifted to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.

The Brothertons were taken to Duke University Medical Center in Durham.

They were all expected to recover from their injuries, troopers said.
