Peacock found in Durham
DURHAM, N.C. — The Durham County Sheriff’s Office has captured a rogue peacock.
The agency posted a picture of the colorful bird on its Facebook page Thursday, saying deputies are trying to find the owner.

“Peacocks are the new Bubba,” deputies quipped in the post, referring to the lost ram that was found last August in the Streets at Southpoint mall. The ram was sold at auction for $300 to an animal rescue organization.

The male peacock was found on Hiddenbrook Drive. Deputies are asking anyone with information about the bird’s owner to call the Animal Protection Society of Durham at 919-560-0640.
