OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C. — Firefighters responded to a large house fire on Ocean Isle on Wednesday night.
WECT reports that five units were at the scene Wednesday night to prevent the fire from spreading on Ocean Isle West Boulevard.

Ocean Isle Mayor Debbie Smith said the porch of a house next door caught fire and crew were working to also control that.

All occupants were removed from the home, according to WECT.

The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office said OCean Isle Beach Bridge was closed as officials responded to the fire to prevent delays for emergency and first responders on the way to the scene.
