— Authorities are investigating a fire that broke out at a Raleigh home on Thursday, fire officials said.

The fire at 527 S. East St. was reported just after 4:30 p.m.

The blaze started in a bed located in the upstairs bedroom, Raleigh Fire Department inspector Capt. Tim Wilson said.

No one was injured, but one person had to be rescued off of the roof.

Witnesses reported seeing a woman leave the home minutes before the fire broke out.
