Firefighters battled a house fire at Pearces Road and Proctor Street in Zebulon.

<b>ZEBULON, N.C.</b> — Firefighters battled a house fire at Pearces Road and Proctor Street in Zebulon.

The blaze started at about 10:30 p.m. Wednesday. The structure was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived.

Police say the fire spread through the woods before it was contained.

The cause of the fire was not released Wednesday night.
